Optokon LMC-01.GC Gigabit Ethernet Mini Media Converter Ruggedized type
The LMC Series introduces the media converter in a robust metal housing. It offers Expanded Beam connections for fiber optic cables and copper twisted-pair ports for harsh environmental conditions. The rugged LMC design extends the use of Ethernet in challenging environments—heavy industry, petrochemicals, mining, broadcasting, and other field applications. It meets the requirements for mobility, easy installation, and the mechanical resilience needed for field use. The LMC converters give you the freedom to extend your 10/100/1000 Mbps cabling distance, allowing connectivity of up to 2 km over MM fibers and up to 50 km when using SM fibers. LED indicators show the power status of the converter, the LAN port, and fiber activity. The basic configuration LMC-01.GC includes the media converter in a sturdy housing. The optical and electrical port converters are connected via separate ports, with an HMA type for fiber and a robust RJ-45 for the copper LAN interface. Power is supplied through a durable 3-pin connector, from the data cable (PoE – powered device) or via the USB port.
