  The OPTOKON HMA-M connector series, a mini “Expanded Beam” connector, is designed for connecting nodes in networks operating in harsh environments using fiber optic cables. The utilized Expanded Beam technology preserves all the advantages of signal transmission over optical fibers in tough conditions. In addition to robust optical networks, the HMA-M is suitable for a variety of applications, such as connections in heavy industry, petrochemical applications, and temporary optical transmission lines. The innovative designs ensure operational capability in the toughest environments where high performance and absolute reliability are critical. Thanks to the Expanded Beam technology, the precise optical alignment system makes the connector immune to water, mud, dust, oil, and other contaminants. The hermaphroditic HMA-M coupling eliminates the need for adapters and male and female counterparts. Hermaphroditic housings enable quick deployment and create low-loss single-mode and multi-mode daisy chain connections in various configurations, from simplex to four-fiber connections. The OPTOKON HMA-M is ideal for extreme environmental conditions where low maintenance and rapid repair capabilities are required.
