CSFP Transceivers – 1.25 3.072 Gbps Optokon Premium

  The transceivers from OPTOKON are compatible with Option 2 of the Compact Small Form-Factor Pluggable (CSFP) Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). The transceiver consists of a 2-channel bidirectional optical transceiver unit with five components: the LD driver, the limiting amplifier, the digital diagnostic monitor, the laser type (DFB laser), and the PIN photodetector. The optical output can be disabled via a TTL logic high-level input from Tx Disable, and the system can also disable the module through I2C. Tx Fault is provided to indicate laser degradation. The Loss of Signal (LOS) output is available to signal the loss of an optical input signal from the receiver or the link status with the partner. The system can retrieve LOS (or link)/disable/fault information through I2C register access as well. A conventional SFP functions when plugged into a C-SFP socket, and neither the C-SFP nor the host board will be damaged when the C-SFP module is inserted into a conventional SFP socket.
