On the transmitter side, four lanes of serial data streams are restored, retimed, and distributed to four laser drivers. These drivers control 4 EML lasers with center wavelengths of 1296 nm, 1300 nm, 1305 nm, and 1309 nm. The resulting optical signals are then combined and transmitted over single-mode fiber via a standard LC connector. For reception, the four lanes of optical data streams are optically separated using the integrated demultiplexer. Each stream is then processed by an SOA+PIN and a transimpedance amplifier, followed by retiming. This module features a hot-pluggable electrical interface, minimal power consumption, and a 2-wire serial interface. This product complies with the QSFP28 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) regarding its form factor, optical\/electrical connections, and digital diagnostic interface.
